Each fall, winter and spring we offer
a wide array of computer classes ranging from "Basic
Computer Literacy" to "Advanced Microsoft
Excel" (see our course
descriptions for a complete
list classes.) |

New
users may really benefit from
attending introductory classes such as: Basic
Computer Literacy, Intro to Windows, Introduction
to the Internet, and Introduction to Macintosh. |

Experienced
users and office professionals can increase efficiency and productivity by attending
classes related to Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access,
Outlook and Powerpoint), and Graphics. |

Small
business
owners and business professionals can facilitate accounting activities by learning
to use the Intuit Accounting Software: QuickBooks, QuickBooks Pro and QuickBooks
Payroll. |

| Keep
track of your home finances by
learning to use Quicken, Intuit's popular home
accounting software. |
|
Internet
classes prepare
individuals to maximize their productivity on the
World Wide Web. Introduction to the Internet is the
starting point; additional classes cover e-mail,
surfing the 'net, downloading, and chatting online. |

Personal
Training
For persons who prefer individual instruction, The Computer
Place also offers private training, either at our offices
on Argyle or in the privacy of your home. This option
may be the best way to go if your computing needs are
highly specialized or if you cannot make it to any of
our regularly scheduled classes. Although the per-hour
cost of private training is higher, because the training
is more focused on your special needs and questions,
the material can usually be
coveredin much less time. |

Custom
Training
For businesses or other groups, The Computer Place can
cater classes to meet your particular needs. This option
allows you to schedule classes at times which work best
for your employees or members, while enjoying group pricing.
Our classroom can hold up to 12 students at a time, and
you may choose classes from our regular offerings, or
have us design a class especially for your group.

Classroom
Rental
If you have your own trainers but need a place for training,
the Computer Place's 12-station classroom is available
for rent. Available by the hour, half-day, or day, the
12 networked workstations may be loaded with your software
and used by your in-house or mainland instructor for
teaching your group.
